Hello, everyone!

It's been five years since I have been making Orang(my Orangutan Amigurumi).

In order to crochet it in a realistic way, I studied the ecology and other aspects of the orangutan in detail. At that time, we learned that the forest we live in has been destroyed by human wrongdoing, and that it is also endangered.

Since then, I started to introduce "a little good things for the earth", and participating the events, for example, I went to a lecture by researchers of orangutans, listened to it alongside Orang, participated in WWF's EARTH HOUR, and held the workshop of "Saving wild birds with knitting" and brought him. 


It had a huge impact on me when I went to NYC with Oran this january.

I put a T-shirt with the message "Protect our forests" on Orang, we took a subway, walked Times Square, and participated in Vogue Knitting Live NYC.

I can't forget the smile that a lot of people had when they were interested in Orang and hugged him. I realized that the power of knitting/crocheting is universal, regardless of nationality, race or language.

I will continue to action and convey "a little good things for the earth with knitting/crocheting" together with Orang.


The Orang item will be available from Sep 20.
Part of the sales will be donated to a charity organization that orangutan conservation.
