" couldn't care less "
"How are you? " に対して、 "Couldn't be better."
A: "Did you hear that Hillary would be running for the election next year?
Looks like she might get elected."
B: "So?"
A: "Well, I guess YOU COULDN’T CARE LESS."
B: "Exactly, I don't really care about what's happening outside of Japan."
A: "I thought you were thinking about moving to US."
B: "No, maybe you heard that from someone else. Not me."
A: "Really. Well, yeah, I suppose that was someone else."
A: "あ、そう。
A: "Well, I think we should go for a house instead of a condo
for our kids' sake. What do you think?"
B: "Sure."
A: "Location wise, we should choose the west end because
there are a lot of good schools there. What do you think?"
B: "Sure."
A: "Hey, you are not interested in this, are you? YOU COULDN’T CARE LESS, right?"
B: "Honey, I do. I do care about that."
A: "You're just saying that. I don't believe you. You weren't even listening to me."
B: "No, that's not true. I was listening to you."
A: "Whatever."
I don't care about it at all" と同様の意味になります。
Have a great weekend
