これまで「巻きかがリ」のことを「コカラカラ」と表記していましたが、正しくは「コカラカリ」です。
意味はアイヌ語で「ぐるぐる包む」です。
Though I have written “coil stitch” into “kokarkar”, it's “kokarkari” to be right.
It means “wrap something round and round” in Ainu language.

ひたすら縁をかがっています。
ほかに何もしていません。
You may look this has progressed nothing from far side.
I'm stitching the hem hard.
I do not take anything else.
なぜこの縁かがりだったのか、と不思議に思いました。
しかし今はこの密な縁かがりの理由を理解しました。
I wandered why they stitched this hemstitch.
But I understood the reason of this dense hemstitch.
絹だから、なのではないかと思います。
I guess that because of silk.

You may not understand the deferense just looking.
You understand it by touching.
この Originである釧路市博物館所蔵のルウンペの置き布は絹です。
しかも紅絹（もみ）や綸子（りんず）という薄くてデリケートな絹です。
The covered clothes of the ruunpe amip in the Kushiro City Museum that is the origin are silk.
Moreover, they are delicate and thin silk which are Momi or Rinzu.

普通のかがり縫いだけではすぐに布は縁から崩れるでしょう。
コカラカリを加えることによって布の強度はぐんと増します。
Soon the clothes would be damaged at the hem with only the common hemstitch.
The strength of the cloth is increased materially by adding kokarkari.
装飾的価値だけではなく、機能的価値もありました。
It did not have only the decorative value but also the functional value.
このアミプの中には木綿はほとんど登場しません。
木綿は土台布だけです。
Cotten cloth is hardly ever used in this amip.
It's only the base cloth.
そして現代のような刺し子糸もありません。
木綿糸は縫製用や修復用の細い縫い糸だけ。
刺繍にはそれすらも使われていません。
イラクサ、ツルウメモドキなどの靭皮繊維（草や樹木から採取した繊維）を縁のかがり糸や芯糸として用いています。
コカラカリの糸は絹の布から抜き取った織り糸です。
And there is no sashiko thread like modern.
The cotten thread is only thin sewing thread for sewing and repairing.
The bast fiber such as nettle and staff tree is used for hemstitching thread and core thread.
The thread with kokarkari is the yarn from the silk cloth.
その時代に刺し子糸があれば楽だったろうなぁ。
刺し子糸なら、仮止めの後に細かくかがる必要はなかったでしょう。
装飾性を保ちながら手間を省くことができます。
It would be easy for them if there had been sashiko threads in that days.
It would not be necessary to hemstitch densly after fixing in the case of thick sashiko thread.
They could save their labor keeping the decorativeness.
現代のアイヌ刺繍は刺し子糸が主流です。
刺し子糸は刺しやすく、針目の数を大幅に減らしつつ独特のふっくらとした針目を楽しむことができます。
Sashiko thread is used for Ainu embroidery mainly in modern.
Sashiko thread is easy to stitch.
And we can enjoy the characteristic plumpy stitches while reducing the number of stitch largely.
そして刺し子糸は絹の置き布の縁をしっかり固定して守ってくれるでしょう。
And sashiko thread should stabilize and guard the hem of the silk covered cloth.
でも、この Origin に刺し子糸はない。
But this Origin has no sashiko thread.
もしかしたら木綿が少ない時代だったのかもしれません。
享保の改革で綿花の栽培が奨励され始めたのは、このアミプの時代よりも後です。
Possibly it was the times with a little cotton.
It was the after of the time of this amip that the cultivation of the raw cotton has begun to be encouraged by Kyoho reforms.

作業の前後には針の数を確認します。
場所を離れるときは針刺しに蓋をします。
ハサミは外します。
I confirm the number of needles before and after the work.
When I leave it, I close the cap on the pincushion.
And I take off the scissor.
ボランティア・義援金・自治体への寄付など
季節はどんどん進んでいきます。
冬のスポーツと夏のスポーツが入り乱れるのがこの時期。
でもさすがに国別が来ると、冬はもう終わりだな〜と思います。
シーズン最後の試合ではありますが、シーズンを締め括る人と新しいシーズンがすでに始まっている人が入り乱れていますね。
そしてコンサドーレ。
サッカーだけじゃないんですよ。
世界選手権は惜しくも４位でしたが、誰も予想しなかった快進撃でした。
カナダ戦の後は「１位」でしたし。
私は最初、ストーンの置き方がわかりませんでした。
でもいろいろわかってくると面白いものです。
４人それぞれの役割が明確で、良い大会でした。
それにしてもスウェーデン、つえ〜〜。
