The existing system of international relations and arms control treaties is slowly, but steadily crumbling. The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty is dead, with both Washington and Moscow publicly developing previously banned short-to-medium range missiles. The New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) is also moving towards its end in 2021, and it is likely that New START will not be renewed. The United States, China and Russia are developing hypersonic weapons, which are not limited by any existing arms control treaties. The major powers are preparing for a possible global conflict. The dismantlement of the system of international treaties is another factor increasing military tensions around the world.
Russia is actively working towards restoring lost Soviet capabilities and developing new strategic deterrence projects. One of them is the Dead Hand, also known as the Perimeter. This Cold War-era automatic nuclear weapons-control system is one of the most protected secrets and most important deterrence tools of the USSR and Russia.
The Dead Hand is the last line of deterrence in the event of a crippling nuclear strike. It entered into service in 1985, shortly after a major escalation in 1983, which had almost led to war between the US and the Soviet Union. It has been likened to a real-life doomsday machine. Upon activation and determination of an ongoing nuclear strike, the system sends out command missiles with special warheads that pass encrypted launch commands to all nuclear weapon carriers of the sea, air and ground components of the Russian Strategic Nuclear Forces.

Watch: Will the Turkish invasion of Libya lead to Syrian-Saudi rapprochement?

Being one of the most prosperous countries in the African continent, thanks to its vast oil fields, Libya has turned into ashes and an open-air slave market for black Africans thanks to the regime change war of NATO in 2011.

After the fall of Gaddafi, the North African country was divided between rival governments in the east and west, and among multiple armed groups, including ISIS, competing for quotas of power, control of the country and its wealth.
Of course, the mainstream media; the trumpets of NATO claim the war was necessary to protect the civilians from an imminent slaughtering by Qaddafi and to export democracy and human rights there.
However, one of the over 3,000 Hillary Clinton emails released by the State Department in December 2016 contains damning evidence that Libya was purposely destroyed by NATO and Qaddafi was brutally killed by the Islamists because France wanted to maintain their financial stranglehold on African Nations. The NATO war was not for the protection of the people, but instead, it was to thwart Gaddafi’s attempt to create a gold-backed African currency to compete with the Western central banking monopoly.
After 9 years of war and conflict among the rival groups supported by different external powers, the Libyan crisis is heading towards new horizons, where neo-Ottoman Erdogan is increasing its interference and even planning to send troops to Libya. Additionally, Erdogan has already sent some parts of his terrorist proxy militants from Syria to Libya. We always wondered where the terrorists of Idlib will go after being bussed from different Syrian cities to Idlib. Now, some of them are being exported to Libya.
But what does Turkey want from Libya? Libya is a country rich in oil and gas reserves that borders important Mediterranean trade routes. A lot of Turkish companies were already active in Libya under Ghaddafi. Among other things, Turkish companies were also involved in numerous lucrative construction projects in Libya. Precise figures aren’t available, but the volume of investment is believed to have totalled several billion US dollars. When the conflict between the Turkish-Qatari-NATO backed Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Russian-Saudi backed general Haftar broke out, many of these construction projects were put on ice, and Turkish companies working in Libya lost a great deal of money as a result. Consequently, the more areas Haftar seizes from GNA, the smaller the chances the Turkish companies will see their money again¹. So, the scramble for gas in the eastern Mediterranean underlies why Ankara is sending forces into a conflict that has nothing to do with Turkish national security².
The increased Turkish involvement in Libya is alarming for Egypt, which is completely logical from a geopolitical and ideological perspectives. Being one of the regional powers in the region, the last thing Egypt wants to see is a hostile expansion in its neighbourhood. And let’s not forget that Turkey was one of the main supporters of the ousted Egyptian President Morsi. Thus, Ankara’s policy is hostile towards the current President Sisi and supportive to his main opponent, the Muslim Brotherhood, which is considered a terrorist group in Egypt, Syria and Saudi Arabia.
In this complicated situation, Saudi Arabia supports Morsi and one of many other crises in the region, there is a mutual ground between Saudi Arabia and Syria; mainly in countering the Muslim brotherhood and stopping the expansion of Turkey and Syria and Libya. So, will Mohammad Bin Salman reverse the policy towards Assad and open a new page with Syria? Regional developments and secret diplomatic and security meetings indicate that there is an attempt to revive the relations between Damascus and Riyadh. Only recently, Syria’s Al-Watan newspaper reported that the permanent representative of Syria to the UN, Dr Bashar al-Jaafari participated in an event hosted by the Saudi ambassador and that Riyadh is extending its hand to Damascus after 9 years of enmity. But will the relations be friendly? I don’t think so, but anything that serves the interests of Syria and the Syrian people should be welcomed .

The BBC, as with Iraq, has been at the forefront of this vilify-Syria propaganda campaign and is the UK government’s disinformation flagship promoting the savagery of illegal wars worldwide. When the OPCW interim report was released in July 2018, the BBC appeared to deliberately misrepresent the report’s findings to shore up the UK Foreign Office’s illegitimate claims of chemical weapon use by the Syrian government.
In legendary journalist, John Pilger’s film “The War You Don’t See,” the BBC’s head of newsgathering, Fran Unsworth, claims that the media was “taken in” regarding Iraq, and hoodwinked by government claims. Unsworth blames the BBC’s insouciance on having “no access” to information or to Iraq. But the crucial expert analysis that Iraq’s WMD did not exist was available four years prior to the US invasion, from the chief UN weapons inspector in Iraq, Scott Ritter. In 1998, Ritter told John Pilger: “If I had to quantify Iraq’s threat in terms of WMD, the real threat is zero, none.”
The BBC ignored this game-changing evidence, just as they have gone out of their way to ignore the collapsing Douma “chemical weapon” narrative and the exposure of the OPCW as an extension of the UK/US globalist mafia cartel.
When I challenged Lyse Doucet, BBC international correspondent and Syria “expert,” about the BBC’s lack of coverage of the Douma/OPCW scandal, Doucet disingenuously blamed BBC silence on an alleged lack of access to Syria. The OPCW is based at the Hague but this minor detail was swept under the carpet.

‘Brazen disinformation’: Syria narrative managers defend Douma chemical weapon hoax as OPCW comes under attack

In the light of the increasing exposure of the OPCW as a deeply compromised instrument of power for the US-led global alliance, the role of aligned media in protecting discredited constructs must be examined.
On January 20, a quiet, unassuming expert laid bare the OPCW suppression of evidence that would demonstrate the illegitimacy of the bombing of Syria in April 2018 by the UK, US, and France. Ian Henderson is a former OPCW inspection team leader and an engineering and ballistics specialist. Henderson said he visited Douma with the first OPCW inspection team shortly after the alleged chemical attack on April 7, 2018. In an address to the UN Security Council Arria-Formula Meeting, Henderson presented his misgivings and spoke of the OPCW management information lockdown.
Henderson’s analysis of the events, in particular the “chlorine cylinder dropped by Syrian air-force helicopters” narrative was inexplicably suppressed by the OPCW and omitted from the final report which fraudulently maintained the “likely” verdict that chlorine had been used.
Henderson’s report had supported the conclusion that there had been no chemical attack. A number of other OPCW colleagues have also come forward with similar claims that their expert opinions were censored by the OPCW who appear to have been tasked with retrospectively justifying the US allied criminal aggression against Syria. A bombing campaign that resulted in the destruction of a laboratory complex and cancer research center, located in Barzeh on the outskirts of Damascus.
It is worth noting that had this been a “chemical weapons” factory as claimed by Western intelligence, the potential for civilian deaths would have been horrific in the event of “chemicals” being released into the atmosphere close to Damascus residents.
