Once upon a time, Little Bunny lived in a tiny forest which may have been located close to your house.
Her parents died a year ago because of a illness, and she lived by herself and lonely, but she tried to have a happy life.
One morning, she got up very early as usual, she visited Rooster and Hen’s house.
“Good morning, Rooster, Hen, Little Chicks. Could you share me two eggs? I’d like to cook omelet for my breakfast.” Little Bunny asked.
“Sure. Here they are. Instead, can you play with my girls for a while?” Hen said.
“Luckily, I brought a jumping rope. Come on, girls!! Let’s jump it together!”
Little Bunny was happy.
One, two, three, four. They had a really good time.
“Thank you. Here are the eggs”Hen said.
“Hey, girls!! Can you play with me after breakfast?” Little Bunny suggested.
“We’d love to, but we are busy all day today.”
“I understood…”
Little Bunny was so sorry.
“Hey, Little Bunny. You are going to Yuri’s, Bull and Cow’s, and Bear couple's house, right? Could you bring them these letters?” Hen asked.
“Okay. Thanks for the eggs.”
She put the two eggs and three letters into her basket, kept walking. When she found a small cottage, she knocked the door.
“Good morning, Mr. and Mr. Tanabe, Yuri!! Could I pick up cucumber, lettuce, and tomatoes for my breakfast salad?” she said.
“Good morning, Little Bunny. Of course, you can pick them up as many as you want. I’m afraid Yuri is still sleeping, though.” Mr. Tanabe answered to her gently.
“She is going to school today, right? Oh, this is a letter from Hen to Yuri.”
“She is coming back by 3:00 from school, so please come by. Thank you for bringing her the letter.”
“No problem.”
Little Bunny picked the vegetables up, and put them into her basket. Next, she is going to go to Bull and Cows’house.
“Good morning, Bull, Cow, and Little Calfs. Cow, could I squeeze some milk from you?” she asked.
“Sure”
Little Bunny squeeze the milk, and she gave Cow the letter from Hen.
“Hey, boys and girls!! Can we play together today?” she asked them hopefully.
“We are so sorry, but we have another plan today.” Their face looked like unfortunate.
Little Bunny was really, really, sorry.
Somehow, she blew away her bad mood, and she walked to Bear couple's cave house.
“Good morning, Bear mother and father, and Bear Cubs!! Could you share me some of your honey? I’d like to put it on my morning toast.”
“Sure, as much as you want.” Bear mother answered gladly.
“And this is for you guys!”
Little Bunny gave her the letter from Hen.
“Thank you”
“Boys, boys!! Can we play together afterwards?” She asked them as brightly as possible.
“We’d love to, but we have something important to do today.” One of bear cubs answered.
“Okay. Everyone has something to do today.” Little Bunny sadly murmured.
On her way to home, she had very hard time not to start crying.
(Oh, my god. Did I do something wrong? My parents aren’t here anymore, and my friends don’t care for me….)
She was too sad to stay awake. So, she went to bed and jump into it after eating breakfast.
“Ding-dong!! Ding-dong!!”
The sound of the chime made Little Bunny woke up.
The clock showed the time just after three.
When she opened the door, Yuri was smiling and said,
“Come to my house as soon as you can.”
Little Bunny’s heart was pounding with joy, and she walked with hand in hand with Yuri.
“Little Bunny, open the door!” said Yuri with smile.
“Paw, paw, paw“
The poppers sounded.
Rooster, Hen, Chicks,
Bull, Cow, Little Calfs,
Bear couples, Bear Cubs,
and Mr. and Mrs. Tanabe were smiling gently.
Yuri brought a cute birthday cake with candle lighting.
“Blow the candle, Little Bunny!”
She blew them.
“Happy 4th Birthday, Little Bunny!!” Everybody said and hug her one after another.
The cake looked delicious, and gorgeous food was there.
The room was decorated like a fantasy world.
“Thank you!! Thank you very much everyone!!” Little Bunny could not stop crying with joy.
(Mom, Dad, I am not, and never will be alone. I will live happily with lots of friends. Thank you for giving me life.)
The happy party for Little Bunny went on until late at night. The day became Little Bunny’s unforgettable happy day.
