さて、先日、久しぶりに友人のトム＆キャットとダブルデートしてきました。
So, the other day, Andy and I had a double date with Tom&Kat.
待ち合わせはいつものBWW（バッファローワイルドウィングスというレストランです。）
This is our favorite place to hang out at. Buffalo Wild Wings.
Hit-chan、今回初めてオーダーしたタコスですが、すごく美味しくてこのプレート完食。(笑)
I tried their Tacos and really loved them. Surprisingly, I finished the whole plate!
他の皆は、いつものようにウィングを頼んでました。
Everybody else got their usual wings too.
久しぶり～。
Long time no see!
本当、2人と会うのはかなり久しぶりでしたが、2人とも相変わらず元気そうで良かったです。
It's been a while since our last double date, but I'm so glad that they both seemed doing pretty well.
Andyっちとトムは2人とも、IT系の仕事をしていて、ビール大好き、車大好きなので、それ関係の話をして盛り上がります。
Andy and Tom both work in IT and they both love beer and cars, so they always talk about those things.
Hit-chanとキャットは仕事の話、共通の友人の話、プライベートの話など、まぁ、いつものように近況報告をしあいます。
Kat and I usually talk about our works, friends and other things to catch up with each other's recent lives.
こうやって、カップルで仲良くできる存在は本当に有難いです。
I'm so happy that we are so close as couple-friends.
日本に帰ると妹スカッチと彼氏のNさんがいつも一緒に遊んでくれるんですが、ミネソタではこうやってトムとキャットが遊んでくれます。
In Japan, my young sister, Skatch and her boyfriend, N-san always hang out and share a lot of fun with us. Here in MN, we share so many fun times with Tom&Kat.
以前はキャットと一緒に働いていたので、今よりも頻繁に会う機会があったのですが、キャットが転職してからは減ってしまいました。
Kat and I used to work together at Caribou and see each other so frequently, but since she got a new job, we haven't hanged out together as often as before.
とはいえ、連絡すればいつでも会って楽しい時間を過ごせる相手であるのは変わりないので、こうやって「どうしてるかなぁ。」と思う度にダブルデートするようにしてます。
Though, I still shoot a text to Kat and try to schedule a double date with them every time I wonder how they're doing.
で、この日、キャットと会って話かったのが、ベビーシャワーの日程や内容の事でした。
On that day, I wanted to talk to Kat about my baby shower.
8年前にミネソタに来た時、Hit-chanの生活は友達0でスタートしました。
8 years ago when I moved to MN, my life started with no friend here.
でも、カリブーで働いたり、Andyっちのお友達を紹介してもらったりと、妊娠した今、3回もベビーシャワーを開いてもらえる事になりました。
Since then, it's not so many, but I've made very close and wonderful friends in my life and I'm going to have 3 baby showers thanks to them. (That's more than I expected.)
キャットもその内の1つをホストしてくれます。
Kat is kindly going to host one of the 3 baby showers for me too.
何か、そういう事を考えると、あっという間に過ぎたミネソタでの8年も、Hit-chanの人生において本当にかけがえのない物を与えてくれたんだなぁと感動します。
When I think about now having enough friends and families to nicely offer to host 3 baby showers for me here, the last 8 years of my life in MN felt to fly so quick, but it is definitely a super precious gift to me.
3つのベビーシャワー、それぞれ違った色になりそうで、今から本当に楽しみにしています。
I'm really excited to see what those 3 differnt baby showers would turn to be like.
まぁ、そういう訳で、この日も楽しいダブルデートができて嬉しかったです！！
Anyways, this is all about the double date with Tom&Kat at BWW and it was much fun again!
