実は、先々週からAndyっちが9日間の出張に行ってまして、Hit-chan、その間めいと2人でお留守番しておりました。
Actually, Andy took a business trip on the week before last and was out of town for 9days, so May-chan and I had to watch our house by ourselves while he's gone.
そして、先週末ようやくAndyっちが家に帰ってきてくれて、普段の生活に戻りました。
And Andy's safely back home late at night last Friday, and we're getting back to our normal life.
出張先での仕事はかなり過酷なもので、今回出張に行った方は全員長時間働き続けなければいけなかったそうです。Andyっちはかなり疲労困憊で帰ってきましたが、かなりホッとしてました。
Andy said that the project was super tough and everybody had to keep working super hard for so many hours at the office. So, he was extremely exhausted but very relieved to be back to his sweet home.
Hit-chanも9日間のワンオペ生活が終わってホッとしております。
I'm also very relieved to be done with the mission to protect our daughter and house by myself.
さて、今日はめいのパスポート申請シリーズの番外編です。
Okay, this is an extra edition about May-chan's JPN passport series.
結局シカゴ領事館の方がミネソタに来てくださる日に間に合わなかったので、アイオワに来てくださる日に合わせて申請しました。
Though I tried my best to get the application ready to pick the passport here in MN, I couldn't make it. So, I ended up rescheduling the date so that we could pick the passport up in Iowa instead.
アイオワでの出張サービスの前日、Andyっちの仕事が終わってから家を出発しました。
On the day before the Japanese consulate in Chicago has one-day-service in Iowa, we left home in the afternoon when Andy's back from work.
この日のお天気はすごく良かったです。
It's very nice out.
我が家からアイオワまでは車で4時間。
It takes about 4hours from our house to Iowa.
こんなに長い時間めいを連れてドライブをするのは初めてなので心配だったんですが、この日の午前中に怪人さんとブランチデートをしていて、怪人さんがいっぱい遊んでくださったお陰で、めいは4時間のドライブの内2時間くらいはずっと寝ていてくれました。
We'd never done such a long drive with May-chan before and were a little worried about it. Though, May-chan and I had brunch date with Kaijin-san earlier on the day and she played with May-chan for a long time, and thanks to that, May-chan was sleeping about 2 hours out of the 4hour drive.
4時間ずっとAndyっちが運転してくれました。いつもありがとう。
As always, Andy drove all the way for 4 hours. Thank you so much.
で、無事、アイオワのデモインに到着。
We safely got to Des Moines, Iowa.
今回泊ったホテル。このホテルで出張サービスがあるので、翌日の朝、そのままこのホテルでパスポートを受け取れるので楽です。
We stayed at this hotel this time since the consulate service was held at the hotel on the next day, and it was super convenient.
このホテルの最上階の部屋で大きな窓がありました。
Our room was on the top floor and had a big window.
めいが一番景色を楽しんでました。(笑)
She's the person who enjoyed the view most. Haha.
バスルーム
Bathroom
バスタブが無かったのが残念。
予約する時にバスタブのある部屋を選んだんですけど、何故か無い部屋になってました。まぁ、一泊だけなんで部屋の変更はお願いしませんでした。
It was too bad that the room didn't have a bathtub even though I booked on with a bathtub. It was just for one night, so I didn't ask them to change the room.
ホテルの部屋って、我が家に比べて床に物が置いてないので、めいも動けるスペースが広くて嬉しそうでした。
Compared to the living room in our house, a hotel room generally doesn't have much stuff on the floor, so May-chan was having lots of fun with crawling around on the spacy floor.
ドライブ中にぐっすり寝たので、ホテルにチェックインした後はめっちゃ元気でした。
She took enough sleep to fully be charged so she was very active in the room.
最近カメラを向けると掴みにくるようになりました。
Recently, she's curious about my camera and always tries to grab it when I take a picture of her.
で、この部屋にキングサイズベッドがあったので、めいと一緒にベッドの上で遊んでいたんですが。。。
The bed was king size, and May-chan and I were playing in it. Then...
この日初めて一人で長時間お座りする事ができました！フカフカでバランスが取りやすかったみたいです。
She sat still for a long time by herself! The mattress was soft and let May-chan get a good balance.
こんな風にお座りしてTVを観ている背中も初めて見るのでなんか可愛い。（親ばか）
How cute her back was!!! This was my first time to see her watching TV like this, and I couldn't stop telling it's super cute.
なんか、旅先でこんな素敵な瞬間をAndyっちと一緒に目撃することができて嬉しかったです。
I was actually very happy that both Andy and I could witness the precious together at the same time.
ちょっと長くなるので今日はここまでにしておきます。
Okay, it's getting a little longer than I expected, so I'd like to end this here today.
