さて、前回の記事の続きです。
Okay, this is the rest of our Valentine's day this year.
バレンタインデーの日、美味しいディナーを食べ、Hit-chanからAndyっちのプレゼントを渡しました。
I already wrote that we had the very nice sushi dinner and I gave Andy my card&gift first.
そして、今度はHit-chanがAndyっちからのプレゼントを開けました。
Then, I want to talk about from when I opened a present from Andy.
めいに授乳している途中だったので、めいの口がミルクだらけです。ごめん、めいちゃん！
I was feeding May-chan right before Andy took this pic and I forgot to wipe her mouth! Sorry, May-chan!
カードは仕事場に忘れてきたらしく(笑)、プレゼントのみでした。
Andy forgot a card at his work, so he gave me just the present. Haha.
中身はいつものハードロックカフェ（ヒューストン）と刑事コロンボのブルーレイ！
He gave me another Hard Rock Cafe's T-shrit (Houston) and Columbo's Blue ray!!!
刑事コロンボのブルーレイは日本バージョンで、日本語の字幕を付けて観る事ができます。
The Columbo's Blue ray is actually a Japanese version and you can watch it with Japanese subtitles.
実は日本に滞在していた時、TSUTAYAでコロンボを久しぶりに借りて観て、「あー、やっぱり面白いなぁ。」と再確認してたんです。
When Andy and I were staying in Japan for IVF, we rented a Columbo's DVD and wathed it. At that time, I realized again how fun the syries was!
こちらに住んでいると、時々字幕なしで英語の映画を観たりする事もあるんですが、やっぱりコロンボって推理の部分が一番大事だし醍醐味じゃないですか？
I still watch American movies without Japanese subtitles here, but you know, what's the most important in Columbo stories is the reasoning process, is it?
でも、英語だけだとHit-chanには細かいところまで理解する能力がないので、観るなら日本語字幕がついているものだなぁと思っていたんです。
Though, I sometimes miss important lines or something if I watch it only in English, so I wanted to buy the Japanese version.
日本に滞在していた時から、「コロンボ良いなぁ。でも、DVD買うなら日本語字幕付きやなぁ。」とAndyっちに話してたんで、今回、どういう手を使ったか分かりませんが、日本バージョンのコロンボを手に入れてくれたんです。
I'd been telling Andy, "I love Columbo, but if I buy DVD, I'd buy one with Japanese subtitles." since the time we watched the DVD in Japan. I don't know how he did, but he obtained the Japanese version for me.
これを手に入れるために色々とリサーチをしてくれたAndyっちからの豆知識。
He said that he'd done some resarch to get the Blue ray and told me this trivia.
実は、たくさんのアメリカのコロンボファンも、日本版のコロンボのDVDをわざわざ手に入れているらしいです。
What he got to know through his research was that a lot of Columbo fans in the US actually buys Japanese version ones too.
というのも、日本でデジタル処理？されたものは、映像も音声もすごく質が良いそうなんです。
The reason is because the ones redone the images and the sound in Japan are very good in quality.
日本語字幕つきのDVDでも字幕を消して観る事もできるので、アメリカのコロンボファンもより良い画質＆音質で観たいと日本版を購入されるそうです。
You can still watch the Japanese version without subtitles, so the fans in the US purchase it for the better quality.
やっぱり、日本の丁寧な仕事はこんな所でも国境を越えて喜ばれているんですねぇ。
I was so glad to hear that my home country's great digital work makes a lot of people happy.
で、今年はめいちゃんからも、ダディーにプレゼントが！
And this year, Andy got a card and a present from May-chan too!
いつも座っているバウンサーの下に隠してたらしいです。(笑)
She said that she hid them under her bouncer. Haha.
無事発見。
Yup, here they were!
カードの封筒を開けてみると。。。
Inside the envelope...,
こんなカードが。めいちゃんの足型でハートになってますねぇ。
here's the cute card! She made the heart with her foot prints.
プレゼントの方は。。。
As for the present...,
何やら小さい箱に。。。
in the tiny box...,
"LOVE YOU DAD"って書いてある、釣り針でした。
there's a fishhook printed "LOVE YOU DAD"!
めいちゃんからの初めてのカード＆プレゼントにダディはとっても喜んでくれまして、我が家のバレンタインデーは大成功でございました。
Andy loved the very first card and present from May-chan and We all had a wonderful Valentine's day!!
