How's everything going?
こちらアメリカでは今週末はイースターです。
Here in the US, we celebrate Easter this weekend.
我が家も家族揃ってお祝いしますが、宗教色はかなり薄く、家族が集まる良い口実として捉えている感じです。
Our family gather and celebrates it too, but for us, it's more an excuse to get together and have a good time rather than a religious event.
今週末はその他にも色々と行事があって忙しくなりそうです。
Besides that, we'll have some more fun events this weekend and they'll keep us busy.
さて、先日このブログでも書きましたが、4月に入ったというのにミネソタはスノーストームに襲われました。
So, just as I talked here the other day, MN had a snow storm even in April.
その週のお話なんですが、Andyっちが外が寒くても家族で出かけられる場所として、植物園まで連れて行ってくれました。
This is about the same week that we had the storm, and Andy took May-chan and me to this conservatory since he thought that it would be a perfect place where we could hang out even if the outside was cold and snowy.
はい、スノーストームの後なので、外はまだこんな感じでした。
Yeah, it was the next day after the storm, so it's pretty white everywhere.
こちらが外から見た建物。
This is the conservaroty.
来たのは、コモ植物園。Como Park Zoo and Conservatory
Como Park Zoo and Concervatory
ちなみに動物園も併設されています。
Yeah, they have a zoo too.
実はこのコモ植物園、AndyっちとHit-chanにとっては、ちょっと思い出がある場所なんです。
Como consercatory is actually a very memorable place for Andy and me.
2010年1月6日、このコモ植物園でAndyっちがHit-chanにプロポーズしてくれたんですねぇ。
January 6th 2010, Andy proposed to me at Como conservatory.
一応、その時の写真を探したんですが、何故かオリジナルが見つからず、このブログの過去記事から小っちゃいサイズのを拾ってきました。
I looked for the pictures when I took at the time, but I couldn't find original ones. So, I'll put these small ones that I found on this blog.
今より9歳若いHit-chan。よく見えないけど。(笑)
Me who's 9years yonger than now. Yeah, it's too small to see it though.
親指に付けているのが婚約指輪だけど、大き過ぎてこの後返品。（爆）
The rings on my thumb were my engagement rings, but they're too big and we returned them to the store after. Haha.
園内に入ると外とは別世界でトロピカルで暖かい！！
Inside the building, it's totally a different world from the outside! So warm and tropical!
めいもいつもと違う風景に興味を示していました。
May-chan was so interested in the different scenery than usual.
で、多分これがAndyっちがHit-chanにプロポーズしたベンチ。
Andy and I were 80% sure that the bench was where Andy popped the question.
記念のベンチなので、Hit-chanも写真撮ってもらいました。
It was the very special bench for us, so I asked Andy to take a pic of me there too.
こういう日本に焦点をあてた展示もありました。
They had this Japanese collection too.
盆栽 ツツジが綺麗。小学生の頃、道に咲いているツツジの花を吸って「あま～い！」って喜んだ記憶があります。(笑)
Bonsai. Azela flowers were so colorful and beautiful. I used to take those floweres on the street and suck the nectar when I was a kid. Haha.
外の雪景色と紅葉の盆栽のコントラストが綺麗でした。
I was amused by the beauty in the comparison of the white snowey view from the window and the vivid color of maple leaves on the bonsai.
小さな滝もありました。
They had a little water fall too.
皆コインを投げ入れていたので、私達3人もコインを投げ入れました。
We saw a lot of coins in the water, so each of us threw one in too.
物は試しで、めいにもペニーを握らせたら、ちゃんとぽとりってコインを水に落とす事ができました。何をお願いしたのかなぁ？
Yeah, I gave May-chan one penny in her hand, and then she dropped it in the water too! I wondered what she wished.
こちらはお花が一杯の温室。
This is the flower room.
カラフルなお花を興味を持って見ていました。
May-chan enjoyed the colorful flowers.
実は、こうやってめいをベビーカーから出して、抱っこしながら外（室内だけど）を歩いたのは今回が初めてでした。
Actually, that was the first time for us to walk outside as holding May-chan in our arms, not keeping her in the stroller.
やっぱり、買い物だと人が多かったり、外だと気温が寒かったりして、なかなか抱っこしながら歩くという機会がありませんでした。
It's a little harder to do it at a crowded grocery store or cold outside, so we hadn't have a chance to make it happen until this day.
なので、今回こうやって家族3人でゆっくりと色んな植物を楽しんで、素敵な時間を過ごす事ができました。
So, I was super happy that 3 of us could take as much time to walk around and enjoy all the plants and floweres as we liked. It was quite a wonderful day.
これからもっと暖かくなったら、こんな家族の時間も一杯持てそうなので今から楽しみです！
I'm so looking forward to that we'll have more family time like this when it's warmer from now!!

植物園でプロポーズっていうのもステキ♡
抱っこで見る外の世界、めいちゃんにも刺激的だったでしょうね〜。そういえばうちも抱っこでおでかけしたこと、まだないな。今度トライしてみよう！
思い出の地だった植物園も、プロポーズの時以来9年間ずっと行ってなかったので、久しぶりに、しかも今回はめいも一緒だったので、何だか感慨深かったです。
あ、ワタクシも子供のころツツジの蜜を吸って喜んでました。ご近所の生垣だったんで、見つかったらこら～って言われるので、だれにも見られないようにコッソリ吸うのがまたオツでねえ・・・え？
ツツジの花、やっぱ日本の小学生あるあるですかね？私の場合は公道にある花を取ってたんで怒られませんでしたが、他にもライバルがいて、「あ、もう花吸われてる！」となる事が度々ありました。(笑)
