さて、先日32週目の検診に行ってきました。
So, Andy and I went to the clinic for my 32th week check-up.
この週は担当看護師さんとの面談でしたが、特に問題もなく、いつものようにあっさりと終わりました。
On that week, the appointment was with our nurse and everything was fine.
やった事と言えば、いつも通り体重を測って、血圧を測って、赤ちゃんの心音を聞いたくらいですね。
As always, they measured my weight, blood pressure and then heard the baby's heartbeat.
看護師さんから、「夜、眠れてる？？」と聞かれましたが、Hit-chan、今まで人生で眠りに関して悩んだことが無く、お腹が大きくなってきた今でも毎日安眠熟睡しております。(笑)
My nurse asked me, "Can you sleep at night?" and my answer was "Yes!" To be honest, I've never ever had aproblem with sleep in my life. Even now when my belly got bigger, I sleep so tight every single nigth. Haha.
ネットでもよく目にするのですが、お腹が大きくなると快適な姿勢になるのが難しくなって、夜も眠れなくなるようです。
I see a lot of comments that pregnant women have a hard time to sleep especially because their belly gets bigger and it's more difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in.
この先、もう少しお腹が大きくなったら寝転ぶのも苦しくなるかもしれませんねぇ。
I guess when my belly gets bigger and bigger from now, I would have the same problem.
で、この検診があった同じ日、Hit-chanが出産する予定である病院の見学に行ってきました。
So, on the same day, we also had an appointment for a tour at the hospital where I'm going to deliver my baby.
もちろん、Andyっちも一緒です。
Of course, Andy came along.
事前にオンラインで見学の申し込みができるので、とっても便利です。
We made the appointment online beforehand, so it was very convenient.
我が家から病院までは、車で約30分くらい。
It takes about 30mins from our house to the hospital.
道中、「陣痛が来た日は、どんな風になるんだろう？」と、頭の中でプチシュミレーションをしながら病院に向かいました。
On the way, I was kind of picturing the image of the day like "How would it be like when our baby's coming out??"
この日の参加者はそんなに多くなく、私達夫婦以外にもう3組夫婦と1人で来ていた妊婦さんだけでした。
On the tour, there were only 4 couples including us and 1 lady.
Hit-chan、てっきり陣痛が来たら、特別な入り口から入って病棟に向かうのかと思っていたんですが、説明を聞いたら、普通に一般駐車場にとめて、そのまま歩いて、一般の入り口を通って。。。と、通常の診察と同じ経路でした。（汗）
I was actually thinking that they would have a special entrance to the baby center when contraction starts, but they said that we need to park a car in the general parking ramp and walk in from the front entrance just as a usual appointment. Haha.
この日案内してくれたのは、たぶんこの出産病棟で働いている看護師さんで、とってもフレンドリーで優しかったです。
The guide on that day was the nurse working at the baby center and she was so kind and friendly.
簡単な説明を聞いたら、そのまま病棟の中を案内してもらえました。
After she explained some general things about the baby center, she led us to check their floor.
3年前かな？にリモデルされてそうで、とっても綺麗でした。（画像拝借元）
They remodeled the floor abotu 3 years ago and it was very clean and nice.
いくつかの部屋が用途ごとにあって、病院に着いてすぐに入ってその時の状態を診察する部屋、分娩室、出産後休む部屋などがありました。
There were some different types of rooms like Triage room, labor&Delivery suite, Postpartum room.
もちろん、見学はできませんでしたが、帝王切開を行うオペ室もありました。
We didn't go in, but they also had an operation room for Caesarian section.

A labor&delivery suite with bathtub. They also has one without a bathtub.

バスタブが付いたバスルームがあります。
Postpartum room. There's a bathroom with a bathtub too.
産後の休養室ですが、パートナーも一緒に泊まる事ができるそうです。ただ、ベッドは無いので、ソファで寝る事になります。
（看護師さん、大きなベッドで２人一緒に寝ても良いよ～、とも言ってました。笑）
In the postpartum room, your partner can stay over with you too. Though, there's not an extra bed, so your partner has to sleep on the couch. (The nurse said that you can sleep with your partner together on the big bed too! Haha.)
結構広くて、快適な休養室ですが、普通分娩の場合は最長48時間、帝王切開の場合は96時間だったかな？なので、この部屋に滞在する時間はそんなに長くなる事はなさそうです。
The postpartum room is very spacy and comfortable, but if you did a natural birth, you can stay in the room up to 48hours and even if you had a c-section, you'll only stay in the room up to 96hours.
滞在中の食事も病院で頼む事もできるし、デリバリーを頼んだり、家から持ってきたりしても良いそうです。
During the stay, you can get a meal from them for sure and also order food or bring something from home as well.
病棟にはカフェコーナーと呼ばれる場所があって、コーヒーメーカーや冷蔵庫、電子レンジも置かれていました。
On the floor, there's a section called "Cafe" and there are a coffee maker, fridge and microwave too.
一通り病棟内を見学したら、この日の内容は終了～。
After we walked around the floor and checked the rooms, the tour was completed.
この見学、本当に行って良かったです。
Personally, I really loved the tour.
予め、どういう風に病棟に辿り月、どういう部屋で分娩をするのかを知っておくことで、当日陣痛の痛みで苦しんでいても、余計な心配をしなくて済みそうです！！
By knowing the actual route from the parking ramp to the floor or all the types of rooms I would use, I won't have to worry about unnecesarry waiting time or something while I have to deal with contraction pain.
段々、赤ちゃんが生まれてくることに現実味が増してきて、ドキドキワクワクしております。
Yeah, now I feel welcoming our baby more realistic and more excited!
