(Breakfast Date)

Hello!

How are you doing today?

Hit-chan
I'm doing pretty well.

So, it's been almost 9years since I moved to MN from Japan, but I don't have many Japanese friends to hang out with here. Haha

Today, I want to talk about a breakfast date that I enjoyed with one of my few Japanese friends, R-san, the other day.

We've been friends for 8years or so, and she's been always very generous and kind and given me lots of things like clothes, shoes, magazines and etc... And when I was pregnant with May-chan, she also gave me lots of baby things that she used for her son, and they make my parenting life much easier now.

The MN winter lasted longer than usual this year and made us to postpone this date until when it started getting warm in May. That was the first time for May to meet her.

I always rely on her to pick up places for us to hang out at since I don't know any nice places. Haha

This time, we went to this new and fancy restaurant whichi 's only open for brunch, from 6am-3pm in Wayzata.

R-san is also a mom of a boy so recommended this place because it's very spacey enough even for me with a big stroller.

Like this, it's pretty roomy, isn't it?

I actually parked my car behind the biulding and entered from the back door. Then, I had to go through small stairs to get to the main 1st floor with my stroller and wondered how I could make it. There was a wheel chair lift right by the stairs, and I ended up using it.

The lift was like this.

I was a little worried if it's okay that I would use it first, but nobody was around to ask for an assistance. I didn't know how to use the lift first either, but the door was not locked or something, and I could just pull the door and needed to press the button saying "Down". Thank god! It was a life saver!!! May-chan and I could enter the restaurant finally.

Here's the meny and as you might see, there are so many options. I had a hard time to pick just one up.

After some fun debating time in my head, I chose a plate with pancake, eggs and sausages.

R-san got this pancake plate.

SHe's been a big help for me about general baby care even before May-chan was born, so I was super happy that she could finally hold May-chan on the day!

She's always considerate even for little things and kindly offered to take a picture of May-chan and me then too.

After we had the nice brunch, we decided to walk outside under the beautiful bluesky and the warm sunshine.

Yeah, we're in MN. You can see a lake pretty much everywhere. Haha.

May-chan loved to hang out and seemed very relaxed. She's too relaxed to stay awake after this pic.

We sat down on the bench right in front of the beautiful lake and talked about a lot of things. I think that it was the longest conversation that we'd ever had and I really enjoyed it.

Oh, I almost forgot, but R-san and I became friends through my blog. She once gave me a comment.

When I'm writing this, I just feel very grateful that my blog brought me such a nice and wonderful friendship.

Okay, this is all about the fun brunch with R-san. Thank you for reading again. Thanks again, R-san!!
