レッスンで犯罪のお話になりました。

There are a lot of missing people in Japan.

According to the news, there are more than eighty thousand people who go missing every year in Japan. 

日本では毎年8万人以上の人が行方不明になっているそうです。

Have you ever imagined if your family members or partners suddenly disappear?

If the person is still a minor, police will help you search him or her, or if it seems like a crime or criminals involved, you can ask police for searching and investigating. Otherwise, police cannot do anything.

想像してみると怖いですよ。

家族がもし行方不明になっても、成人していたり犯罪絡みじゃなかったら警察は何もできません。

ただの家出、本人の意思となると何もできない。

There are lots of cold cases as well.

未解決事件もけっこうあるんですよね。

What happened to the young girl who went missing from the camp site?

What happened to the French lady who suddenly disappeared in Nikko several years ago?

She needed medicine to live as far as I remember.

What happened to the Japanese college student who seemed to have trouble with her ex-boyfriend? She was studying in France, right?
