I met with Mr Yosida , Mr Okazaki of 23 july .
I presented in some deta :
I the reasons why my standing with the jap autbs regarding comd rejationship in Mr Yosida readily agreed that, In a emorgency, a single cordr was essentlai and that ,undor current condition,he
shoud be designated by the US .
He further stated that , for the present ,such agreement should be kept secret ,
because ob the possible political impact on the JAP people .
Murphy and I concurred in that view
