Leviticus 12:6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering to the priest at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

After the completion of the test of the uncleanness, a burnt offering and a sin offering were to be offered, signifying that after our uncleanness by birth is fully dealt with through Christ's death and resurrection, we need Christ further to be our burnt offering for our not being for God and to be our sin offering for our sin, that Christ may be our life and our living that is absolute for God and that He may deal with the sin that is still in our flesh as we live on earth.
