MARKETING THEORIES : AIDMA and AISAS

Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Yesterday, I conducted a business training about marketing.
Two of the marketing theories that I discussed were the AIDAM and AISAS.
They are the theories that show customer psychology.
These are the theories that explain how a customer decides whether
or not to buy a certain product or service.

AIDMA THEORY stands for:
ATTENTION A customer notices a product.
INTEREST He or she is interested in it.
DESIRE He or she wants to buy it.
MEMORY He or she tries to remember it.
ACTION He or she finally decide to buy it.

AISAS is a new theory that has to do with the involvement of the internet.
ATTENTION A customer notices a product
INTEREST He or she is interested in it.
SEARCH He or she tries to learn more and more information through
       the Internet.
ACTION He or she finally decides to buy it.
SHARE He or she tries to share their impressions and experiences
      to other people.

With this, companies should always consider customer psychology in
making their business strategies.
