Chances for rain return this week, warm weather continues
Sunday was yet another pleasant spring day for our area. More sunshine filled the sky compared to Saturday. It was also a mainly dry day. However, a few stray showers may have produced some rain drops across southwest Alabama during the afternoon. Temperatures were warm, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Sunday night looks mostly clear to partly cloudy and mild with lows in the low 60s.
A small chance for rain returns Monday. A weakening weather system moving out of the plains and Mississippi River Valley may bring showers to Alabama during the late afternoon and early evening. Tuesday features a slightly better chance for rain. However, only stray showers appear possible again Wednesday and Thursday. Models hint that a cold front may arrive in the southeast Friday. That leads to a better chance for rain in our area.
