The Pike Road Football Team kicks off spring practice with a new offensive coordinator on the staff that being Jonathan Chandler. The Patriots new OC brings with him a wealth of knowledge from not only his previous years coaching, but also from his days playing Division I Football.

According to pikeroadqbclub.com, Chandler played college football at Troy University where he played quarterback and receiver. The article also states that after Chandler competed this playing career at Troy, he served as a graduate assistant for two seasons and then went on to coach at Opelika and then Wetumpka before making the move to Pike Road.

“Obviously it’s Pike Road and there’s a big buzz about his place, but you know not only having good football players, but it was the connection amongst faculty, staff, the administration and really the direction that everybody wants to go is right in line with what I believe in,” says Chandler.

“Jonathan Chandler has as good of a resume of any coach in the state of Alabama. From coaching in the Super 7, he played college ball the position that he’s coaching here just couldn’t be more excited to get him here,” says Head Coach Granger Shook.
