Three Park Crossing Students sign to play college athletics

Park Crossing’s Tyler Pettway, Jayden Butler, and Jaiden Cleveland all signed to continue their athletic career at the collegiate level.

Pettway will be attending Faulkner University next year where he will play soccer. Pettway is excited for the opportunity to take his talents to the collegiate level while also staying close to home.

“Just the opportunity after and during. Being with a new team, being with a new coach, being in a new system, learning new things with a new team and just progressing after,” says Pettway.

Also signing was Jayden Butler who will continue his football career next year in college. Butler will also be staying close to home as he will be taking his talents to Huntingdon College next year to play for the Hawks.

“You know what excites me the most is just being able so continue. It’s always been something that I did you know played sports, stayed active, so it’ll just become a regular part of life just like high school and going to college,” says Butler.

The final signer for the thunderbirds was Jaiden Cleveland who will also be playing football next year. Cleveland will be taking his talents to Clark-Atlanta University.

“I’m going to adapt like I always do and whatever comes, comes. I feel like with my talent level, with my work ethic, I’m really going to be special in college and now it’s time to go prove that,” says Cleveland.
