Storms Departing But Gusty Winds Remain
Strong to severe storms are still possible through early Wednesday morning. The main threats will be damaging wind gust up to 6omph! The storms depart by 2am but the gusty winds will stick around into Wednesday.
High pressure moves over ahead for the rest of the work week. We settle back into a mainly sunny and dry weather pattern. The air mass will be a bit cooler underneath the high and morning temps trend colder. We’re expecting mid to upper 30s both Thursday and Friday morning. Daytime highs will manage the lower to mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday but 70s by Friday afternoon.
The upcoming weekend will be our next opportunity for rain activity. Another frontal system will move into the state Saturday. This round will be mainly rain with no severe storm threat expected at this time. We’re turning a bit cooler on the backside of the frontal system Sunday. There will be abundant sunshine but high temps will only reach the mid 50s Sunday afternoon.
