How are you doing today?
さて、昨日11月25日はサンクスギビング（感謝祭）でした！
It's Thanksgiving day yesterday. Belated Happy Thanksgiving to you!
我が家は前日の水曜日、Andyっちが仕事を終えた午後に家を出て、車で3時間の所にあるパパママ宅に向かいました。
Andy, May-chan and I left our home around 2:30pm after Andy's done with his work for Dad&Mom's house up north which's 3 hour drive from our home.
3時間の車移動になるので、今回もHit-chanは後部座席のめいの隣に座りました。
It's a 3hour drive, so I sat in the back seat next to May-chan as usual.
最後の5分くらいだけ寝ちゃっためいですが、それ以外は結構お利口さんにしていてくれました。
May-chan slept only for the last 5 mins and did a great job overall.
もちろん、途中愚図ったんですが、この前シカゴのミツワで仕入れてきたアンパンマンのラムネ菓子を渡すと一気にご機嫌回復。
（中身のラムネ菓子は一口味見して気に入らなかったようですが、パッケージを眺めるだけで満足しておりました。恐るべきアンパンマンの魅力。）
Of course, she got fussy and crabby sometimes on the drive, but I gave her this game changing item at that time, which was a Japanese candy with her favorite cartoon characters on the package.
(She actually didn't like the candy itself, but occupied herself just by looking at the package for a while.)
3時間のドライブを無事に終え、午後5時半くらいにパパママ宅に到着。
We safely got to Dad&Mom's house around 5:30pm after the 3 hour drive.
グランパ＆グランマに加えてブラッド君にも会えて、めいは一気にテンション上がっておりました。
May-chan was very excited to see all of Grandpa&Grandma and uncle Brad there at the same time.
到着してすぐに夕食。
We started dinner shortly after we arrived.
この日のディナーはママが作ってくれたスパゲティ＆チキンパルメジャンを頂きました。（美味しかった！）
We had Mom's special spaghetti and chicken parmesan. (Yummy!)
そして感謝祭当日、Hit-chanは朝好きなだけ寝させてもらってから起床。
On the next day, Thanksgiving day, Andy let me sleep in as long as I liked. (Thanks!)
今年の料理はママとブラッド君が主に担当してくれました。
This year Mom and Brad mainly cooked the special dinner.
パパもAndyっちもマッシュポテトを作ったりしてお手伝い。
（Hit-chanはアクシデントで指を切ってしまい、途中で戦力外通告。汗）
Dad and Andy helped making mashed potato.
(I accidentally cut my finger badly, so left the team. Oh no!)
めいもいつもとは違い、スクリーンタイム（パソコンやTVを観る時間）もほとんど無く、感謝祭の雰囲気を楽しんでおりました。
（やっぱり、皆が代わる代わる遊んでくれるので飽きないんでしょうね。）
May-chan was also having much fun with the special atmosphere and didn't need screen time at all.
(She always had someone to play with and thanks to that, she didn't get bored at all.)
この椅子一つでも嬉しそうにキャッキャしておりました。
I had no idea, but this chair was so funny to her for some reason and made her giggle for a while too,
Hit-chanが楽している間に、無事、今年の感謝祭ディナーが完成！
While I was being lazy, everybody else worked hard and finished the special Thanksgiving dinner!
切った後だけど、これが今年のターキー。（一部）
It's already cut, but this was the turkey that we enjoyed this year. (Just a part of the entire one)
こちらがHit-chanのプレート。
This was my plate.
サラダは別皿にたっぷり。
I put the salad on a different plate so that I could eat a lot.
偏食家のめいは、ターキーをほんのちょっととパンを3個ほど。（最近のめいはほぼほぼパンで出来ています。笑）
The picky eater, May-chan, had a couple of very thin and tiny pieces of turkey and 3 entire pieces of bread.
(Yup, she's been mostly made of bread lately. LOL)
ディナーから少し間を置いた所でパンプキンパイ。柔らかい食感を嫌がるかと思ったんですが、意外や意外、結構いっぱい食べました。
A little while after the yummy dinner, she enjoyed Mom's special pumpkin pie too, I'd thought that she would not like the soft texture, but my guess was wrong. She really liked it and ate a lot.
最近フェイスペインティングにハマり出しためい画伯、感謝祭の日も作品作りを実演し、皆を喜ばせておりました。
She's really into face painting recently and entertained everybody by a live performance.
思惑どおり、皆に笑ってもらって良かったね。
（笑いを取りたいという関西人の血がしっかり流れておりますな。）
As she'd expected, she could get lots of laughter from everybody.
(She definitely has the gene of personality from Kansai area in Japan, which you can't stop helping to do funny things to make others laugh. And I'm from Kansai, BTW.)
という訳で、今年も素敵な感謝祭を送る事ができました。そして、改めて全ての事に感謝の心を忘れずに生きていきたいと思いました。
Anyways, I'm very thankful that we could have another fun and peaceful Thanksgiving together. This special day made me feel again that I'd remember to feel grateful for everything and everyone in my life.
感謝祭翌日の今日、世間はブラックフライデーというセールの日で有名ですが、我が家では毎年クリスマスツリーハントに行きます。
Today, the next day after Thanksgiving, is called Black Friday and famous that many shops do a big sale on the day. Though, my family has a different tradition on the day every year, which we go to Christmas tree hunt.
なので、今からツリー農場に行ってまいります！
So, we're heading to our favorite and usual tree farm shortly!

そうです、現在のめいはほぼパンでできてます。白ご飯はたまに。Yukoさんの娘ちゃん、パンも食べなくなっちゃったんですかー！？それは大変だ～。主食系を食べてくれなくなると大変ですねぇ。
引っ越し後のお家の整理、まだまだ大変だと思いますがマイペースで無理しないようにね！
