さて、今日も我が家のメモリアルデーウィークの様子をお届けします。今日は2日目の午後の様子です。
So, I'll share my family's Memorial Day week today again. I'm going to write about afternoon of the 2nd day.
この日の夕方にブラッド君も合流して、早速ママと一緒に夕食の準備。
Brad joined us in the late afternoon and started cooking for dinner with Mom shortly after.
6時前にいただきまーす！
We said "Bon Appetit!" a little before 6pm.
この日のメニューはママ特製のビーフストロガノフとサラダ。美味しかった～！
Mom's special beef stroganoff and salad! So yummy!
食後、少し退屈していためいにグランマがさいころを出してきてくれました。
After the delicious dinner, Grandma (Mom) got some dices out for May-chan who was a little bit bored.
これが思いのほかヒット！しばらくさいころを並べたり、積み上げたりして遊んでおりました。
The dices were actually unexpectedly a big hit for May-chan! She enjoyed putting them in a line or piling them up.
で、この落ち着いた時間にめいからグランマに、母の日に間に合わなかったプレゼントを渡す事に。。。
Then, May-chan decided to give a belated Mother's day gift for Grandma!
何かな何かな？めいもちゃんとプレゼントを選んで、ラッピングするのも手伝ってくれました。
What's in the box? May-chan actually helped Andy & me to pick up and wrap the present.
中身はこちら。
Inside the box was this.
新居にガーデンを作りたいと希望しているグランマに、ガーデンにおけるカメさんの置物。
A cute turtle! We picked up him because Grandma(Mom) wants to make a garden at the new house so that she could have a garden friend. Haha.
何故にカメさんかって？
Why did we pick a turtle?
実はパパママの家のある場所にTurtleっていう名前が入っているんですよ。
Actually, the land at Dad&Mom's house has Turtle in the name.
というか、ママがこの場所の名付け親なんです。
Well, Mom actually named the land anyways.
名前の由来は、ある時カメさんがお家の裏にある湖から裏庭の方に上がってきて、ちょうどその場所に産卵したという出来事から。
She included "Turtle" in the land name because she one day witnessed that a turtle came up to the shore in the back yard and laid eggs there.
ちなみにソーラー電池が付いていて、夜になるとLEDライトが光ってこんな感じになります。可愛いでしょ？
This turtle has LED light with a solar battery so that he can be bright at night like this. Isn't he cute??
ママも喜んでくれたので、大成功でした！
We're glad that Mom loved it!
と、こんな感じで2日目の午後はこんな感じで過ごしました。
Okay, this is how we spent the 2nd day of Memorial Day week.
